Country House with Landscaping
This house is located on what was originally a green field site set into a hill and practically hidden from view by a partially forested landscape. This project delivered more than originally meets the eye.
The approach of this house gives very little away. Once inside, or viewed from the the rear, the visitor discovered the grandeur of the house and its stunning gardens.
This house has been designed to initially appear as a one storey building but is laid out over two storeys, with the living quarters upstairs and the sleeping accommodation downstairs. Our client wanted an open-plan kitchen, and this room makes the most of the natural light. The house has been fitted throughout with timber sliding sash windows and working shutters. This project was finished with extensive landscaping of all gardens.

Contemporary Country Manor with Stables
This entirely new country house has been built as a replacement for the grand manor house that previously stood on the wooded one hundred acre site. That house had been vacant for some time and had fallen into total disrepair.
Our client wanted a new build which honoured the old manor house style, but also incorporated a more modern design. The result being a grand country house including courtyards and stable accommodation, with a modern two-storey rear that looks out over the secluded walled garden. Much of this was accomplished using limestone salvaged from the original building.
The spiral staircase runs from the ground floor to the second floor and is finished with a glass dome that illuminates the entire hallway. The staircase structure was cast in situ from reinforced concrete.
Other features of this build include the extensive panelling and the wireless audio and heating in every room of the house.

Restoration and Extension of Country House
This project was based on a Grade B2 listed country house situated on a elevated site with views overlooking the sea. The house was subject to several extensions over the years, with many outbuildings surrounding it.
The first phase of this project was to demolish these extensions and outbuildings and strip the house back to the original block. It was then given some much-needed attention to bring it back to its former glory with the addition of a more contemporary block to the rear.
Great efforts were taken to keep some of the original features, such as the original stone wall in the link staircase, which acts as a bridge between the old and the new. The garage open cart shed were constructed using local stone and all intricate panelling was completed on-site by our own craftsmen.

Extension and Major Refurbishment
We completed a large extension to the rear of this home, in keeping with the original style of the building. Our client also wanted a major internal refurbishment of the whole house, with a modern twist.
The kitchen extension was completed with sliding glass doors to give an open, spacious feel. This was complimented with the addition of a rooflight above the kitchen island.

Newly Built Cottage with Basalt stone and Courtyard
The client on this project wanted a new build that gave the appearance of an older house with extensions added over the years. The result is a large cottage with winged extensions and outbuildings, made from local basalt stone, with a cobbled granite courtyard.
The use of the basalt stone internally compliments the timber flooring and traditional shutters throughout. Located on a green field site, hidden from the road, and nestled into a quiet valley on a three acre site, this new build looks like an authentic old country cottage.

Newly Built Red Brick Country House
An impressive country house originally stood on this site of six acres of mature grounds. Our client decided to demolish the dwelling and wanted a new build replica of the original, complete with wings to give the appearance of numerous extensions added over time.
This 10,000 sq ft country house has been designed and built in the traditional style while allowing it to remain spacious and practical to accommodate the family. To retain the traditional look and feel, the stone was salvaged from the original buildings. There is also a massive courtyard, in keeping with the traditional style and layout. Perhaps one of the unforgettable features is the addition of the orangery which serves to bring some of the beautiful countryside indoors.
