COMMERCIAL PROJECTS

SFM Engineering - Office Renovation

We carried out a complete renovation both inside and out at SFM Engineering, resulting in the formation of a new office block within the factory building. This consisted of a new reception area, new offices, additional training and welfare facilities for their staff and new signage to the front of the building.

We also completed the adjoining car park and all associated site works.

SFM Engineering - Factory Extension

This 1,860m² portal frame factory extension was constructed on piled foundations. We also completed the adjoining car park and all associated site works, including design and build retaining wall to the rear of the factory.

Included are some photos of the factory before it was the extension was completed.

Old Mill, Moy

The old mill is a Grade B1 listed building dating back to the early 1830's. The building once stood at the edge of the Blackwater River, until the river was diverted in the mid 19th century.

It was derelict and in a bad state of disrepair. We stripped the building down of all vegetation and ensured it was structurally sound. We then had to develop a suitable structural design and carry out all necessary work to bring the mill up to a viable standard.

Included are some photos of the mill before it was restored.

Centra, Curr Road

We worked alongside the existing shop to allow trading to continue while the new building was constructed. We then demolished the original building and completed the forecourt, including the underground tanks.

Designed by Armagh Design.

Eurospar, Moy

This was a fast paced project which involved building a new Eurospar shop within five months. As the new store was adjacent to the original shop, it was also necessary to allow "business as usual" to the smaller shop throughout the project.

The new building is situated on soft ground near the banks of the River Blackwater, and therefore had to be piled with a series of ground beams, in order to form new foundations. It is a two storey building with a structural steel frame and architectural blockwork to the exterior.

A few of the tasks carried out include relocating the petrol pumps, marking out of parking spaces and relocating the 450mm diameter local water mains.
